Clean air colouring competition winners announced

Thank you to everyone that took part in the clean air colouring competition that was launched at our Air Quality Improvement Showcase held on Friday 26 November at Cascades Shopping Centre. The competition ran for 1 week; 26/11/2021 – 03/12/2021 and 3 prizes are being awarded:
1st place – £50.00 high street voucher
2nd place – £20.00 high street voucher
3rd place – £5.00 high street voucher

We had some outstanding pictures entered, and some inspiring comments from the children. Some of the comments received:

“We can all help in our own little ways to make Portsmouth cleaner and greener.”
(Charlotte, aged 5)

“We are doing our bit for clean air by riding and walking everywhere.”
(Jessica, aged 4)

“We always use public transport or walk to go somewhere.”
(Cotty, aged 7)

“If you don’t live very far, you can always walk or ride a scooter, we do not need a car or transport for a few roads”
(Arya, aged 5)

“Small things can have a big impact if everyone helps.”
(Penny, aged 6)

“I keep the air clean every day because I walk everywhere”
(William, aged 6)

We are delighted to announce the winners;

The prize for 1st place goes to Naeem, aged 6. The judges particularly liked the neat colouring and thought that it was very eye catching.

The prize for 2nd place goes to Cotty, aged 7. A fantastic eye-catching design, bright and striking with a positive mood emphasised.

The prize for 3rd place goes to Jessica, aged 4. The judges thought this was very neat, and nice use of colouring for effect.

Congratulations, our team will be in contact to arrange delivery of the vouchers.

We can all play our part together and then many small changes will multiply into a large contribution. Find out more about small changes you can make.
